Erik Ten Hag revealed he had no regrets about dropping former Manchester United player Cristiano Ronaldo to the bench early in the season. The Red Devils manager utilized the Portuguese 10 times in the Premier League early in the season of which Ronaldo featured 5 times off the bench.

Speaking about dropping the 38-year-old to the bench, Ten Hag stated: “I had reasons and I also knew the consequence if it was a negative outcome. But I am not worrying and I sleep well in those nights.” Ronaldo’s joined the Saudi Pro League with Al Nassr after his contract was terminated by United in the wake of his controversial interview with Piers Morgan.

Since leaving United for Al Nassr, Cristiano has found his rhythm in the Saudi top flight as keeps racking up the goals and assists. He has already scored 8 and provided 2 assists in just 6 appearances for the Riyadh-based club.
