Manchester United boss Eric ten Hag claims that the club is still an attractive location for players across the world. The English giants are currently in the market for multiple players, most importantly, a striker. United might also look to increase the depth of the squad.
Speaking to independent.ie, Erik Ten Hag talked about what Champions League Qualification meant to the club given their stature, “One thing let’s make clear, we have to play Champions League football. A club like Manchester United has to act in the Champions League, so there’s no misunderstanding.”
When asked if qualification for the Champions League would help them in securing better signings, Ten Hag mentioned summer signing Casemiro, adding, “But I think even when we’re not (In the Champions League) we are still attractive for players. I think a very good example is Casemiro, he won everything, including the Champions League, but he was willing to come to Manchester United.“
The Red Devils is currently the only club to play in all competitions, both domestic and European. Following their recent Carabo Cup triumph, all eyes are on Ten Hag to see how he will cope with the upcoming fixture crunch, with nine matches to play in April, with an upcoming FA Cup Semi-Final Clash against Brighton and Hove Albion at Wembley.

Ten Hag defends Marcus Rashford in press conference
Following Manchester United star, Marcus Rashford’s trip to New York during the international break, all eyes were on Erik Ten Hag and to see what action the Dutch Manager would take. Ten Hag has been strict with those who break the rules and famously kept Rashford on the bench against Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier this season.
However, the Manchester United Boss opted for a more lenient approach, defending his decision. Ten Hag said, “I think it’s positive that he was on a break. Our players are playing the most games in this crazy season. They need a breather to collect energy.”
The English forward has been battling a knock that forced him to withdraw from the England squad for the international break, causing concerns among the Red Devil’s fanbase regarding his availability for the pivotal Newcastle United fixture. He was criticised by Gareth Southgate for his absence.
Fortunately for the Manchester United faithful, Erik Ten Hag is confident that the influential forward will be available for the St. James’ Park match. “He trained but he had to do some treatment, he had to do some individual training.” The Red Devil’s manager added, “Today he joined in with the group. We have one more day, so I have a good hope he is available.“
