Cristiano Ronaldo celebrated Saudi Arabia Founding Day 2023 wearing a traditional outfit during the four-day celebration. Ronaldo made an appearance in the Founding Day celebration with his Al-Nassr teammates, as he was donning Arabic clothing and performing Saudi’s traditional Ardah dance. He was even brandishing a traditional sword. The Portuguese international was seen participating and enjoying their cultural activities. The video of Ronaldo fully immersed in Arabian culture was uploaded by his new club Al- Nassr.
Founding Day is a national holiday in Saudi Arabia, which is celebrated on February 22. It also corresponds to Shaban 2, 1444 Hijri according to the Muslim calendar. In Saudi Arabia, Foundation Day commemorates the country’s founding back in 1727 by Imam Mohammad Bin Saud. Ronaldo, who promised to raise awareness about Saudi Arabian on and off the pitch, was seen fulfilling his responsibilities for the middle eastern country.
Al- Nassr, Ronaldo’s new club shared photos and videos of the cultural activities that Ronaldo and his teammates participated in. Along with the squad of Al-Nassr, who are mostly of Arabian background, Al- Nassr’s manager Rudi Garcia was also seen enjoying the cultural activities. Cristiano Ronaldo even posted the special occasion on his Instagram, “Happy founding day to Saudi Arabia. Was a special experience to participate in the celebration at @alnassr_fc!”
