Cristiano Ronaldo is off the mark in style in his first season with the Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr. The 38-year-old talisman turned into the team’s goal provider after assisting two goals in Al Nassr’s 2-1 victory over league rivals Al-Taawoun. The striker flaunted his passing and playmaking skills by contributing to both goals for the Saudi Pro League club.
The veteran Portuguese received the ball in his half and turned into prime Mesut Ozil as he threaded a defence-breaking pass to set up Abdulrahman Ghareeb for Al-Nassr’s first goal in the 17th-minute lead. He then assisted the match-winner in the 78th minute for Abdullah Madu to seal all three points. Al-Nassr is currently at the top of the table, losing only one game this season till now.
Cristiano Ronaldo is loving his new campaign in Saudi Arabia. The striker impressed Al-Nassr fans last weekend after scoring a poker of goals against Saudi Pro League club Al-Wehda at the King Abdul Aziz stadium. Al-Nassr looked deadly with the ball today as well after having 20 attempts on goal, with 11 shots on target.
The five-times-Ballon d’Or-winner currently has five goals in four matches for Al-Nassr. He has already begun his hunt for the Saudi Pro League’s top scorer award. With more than half of the season left, Cristiano Ronaldo might be the favorite to score the most goals by the end of his first year in Saudi Arabia. Al Nassr has extended their unbeaten league run to 15 games after their victory at King Fahd Stadium this evening.
