Lionel Messi and his teammates failed to score a single goal in 180 minutes across two legs.

There were widespread reports before the game that the ultras of the Parisian club were planning to whistle Messi during the clash. The speculation proved true, with whistles and boos being heard in the stadium when Lionel Messi’s name was announced.

Marco Verratti gave the ball away in midfield, and Lesley Ugochukwu played an unselfish ball across the goal for a simple tap-in.
