Cristiano Ronaldo‘s lover, Georgina Rodriguez was in the spotlight for her outfit after she took flak from her followers on Tuesday. Georgina appeared in a racy red dress with a scarf of various motifs that she made Georgina a veil. She was in a photoshoot during which she posted a picture of herself on her social media platform.

Her outfit, although nothing indecent by European standards, did go against the Saudi Arabain norms where women are made to dress in a certain way. This is why fans flocked to her social media platform which soon became an explicit show of misogyny.

Fans from Saudi Arabia haven’t taken this outfit and the post in a good way, as according to the reports many people think this is not the culture of the place. According to them, what Georgina was wearing was quite revealing, and wearing such clothes for a woman isn’t entertained in an Islamic-based country and is also against their dressing laws.

This isn’t the first time Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina broke a rule in Saudi Arabia and the authorities turned the other way. Ronaldo’s move to Saudi Arabia had become a controversy regarding the relationship status of the two. Ronaldo and Georgina have never been married and lived together. This had become a topic of discussion because both of them were settling in a country where laws are dictated by religion. And as per the laws, it’s not legal for a man and a woman to stay together without marriage. But Saudi lawyers reportedly said authorities would ‘turn the way around’ to let the couple want to live together.

Netizens slam Gerogina for latest post in social media

Right after Georgina Rodriguez posted her picture in the outfit, many people started commenting on her post. And the comments were not very pleasing.

A netizen who satirized the model’s revealing clothes commented, “Georgina bought a new abaya.” Another commentator on Instagram mentioned that Georgina is like a woman from a village called Tausiya, related to her outfit. He wrote, “What this woman is doing is like from Tausiya.” The comment was then replied to with another comment and one netizen explained that Tausiya is a poor city with a lot of prostitution.

Many are slamming her and questioning the authorities as to why no steps are taken against her. Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina have been in the headlines ever since the Portuguese star chose to move to the Saudi League. Georgina according to the reports might face a financial penalty as the dress she wore is a direct violation of the dressing law. It is now to be seen that with such reactions from the people of Saudi Arabia, will the authorities take any action against Georgina Rodriguez or will this be just another instance where they just bent their rules as a price to keep Cristiano in their league?
