The 2022 FIFA World Cup has already begun and Group C has taken all the spotlight today. Mexico and Poland played against each other at Stadium 974 in Doha, Qatar. The winning team would have had an advantage over Argentina who lost their first game against Saudi Arabia.
As per the fans’ reactions, Mexico and Poland did everything to bore off the crowd present in the stadium. A goalless draw at the 2022 FIFA World Cup had every fan in the stadium complaining about the entertainment factor of the World Cup. Mexico was tactically better than Poland having more amount of possession, but they failed to convert their chances into goals.
A horrific penalty miss by Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski evidently discouraged the Polish players. After winning the penalty for his country, the world-class striker failed to convert it into a goal as the Mexican goalkeeper Ochoa saved the ball on the line.
For a striker at Lewandowski’s level, it is unacceptable for Polish fans to see him missing from the penalty spot. Robert Lewandowski has still not scored in any FIFA World Cup despite being their main man. He squandered a clear to register his first World Cup goal against Mexico today.
