Manchester United found themselves at the wrong end of things yet again. The Red Devils took a tumble against Crystal Palace on Saturday. A 1-0 loss at home meant the home side have lost four of their first seven games of the season. Marcus Rashford was at the heart of another embarrassing evening.

The United #10 had a night to forget against the Eagles. Fans brutally mocked the player for his ‘Hall of Shame performance’. Moreover, a fan posted a 2-minute long fail compilation of Marcus Rashford against Palace. The video has since gone viral as many call for the player to be dropped from the starting line-up. Further, there are even calls for Rashford to leave the club.

Now, this is why it is said that Football fans have a really short memory. It was only one season ago that the forward accumulated 22 G/A and was their best player. But the video and the comments underneath express the fans’ displeasure on the edge.

In the video, Marcus Rashford is seen making a series of poor decisions against Crystal Palace. Miss-hit shots, wayward passes and poor decisions have all been pointed out in the video. The English player is also seen dribbling into tight spaces without success and scuffing shots wide in the clip.

Having a poor day all around, it was also acknowledged by the dugout. So, Rashford was finally taken off the pitch in the 77th minute for Christian Eriksen.

Manchester United lost for the fourth time in their opening 7 matches

Manchester United fell at home to Crystal Palace. Erik ten Hag‘s side couldn’t build on their momentum after defeating the same side three days ago. In a tight encounter, the Eagles prevailed 1-0. Now, the loss places Manchester United 10th in the Premier League with just 9 points from 7 games this season.

The Red Devils showed promise early on. Rasmus Højlund beat Palace keeper Sam Johnstone before the ball was cleared off the line by Tyrick Mitchell, earlier on in the game. But, soon the defense was left in the wake as United conceded the only goal of the game from a set-piece.

Eberechi Eze’s cross found Joachim Andersen. The Danish defender blasted his shot past the United defense and beyond the reach of Onana before hitting the roof of the net. In the game of close margins, the Crystal Palace custodian was at his top game. Sam Johnstone denied United an equalizer through a Bruno Fernandes strike. He also kept out a Højlund header in the second half before a blazing shot from Casemiro went wide.

Alejandro Garnacho also came close to an equalizer, but his shot was deflected wide of the post. The loss meant that United were relegated to 10th in the League. Palace are 2 points ahead in 9th.
