Jude Bellingham continues his remarkable start at Real Madrid. The young England International produced one of the assists of the season with a trivela to Joselu which opened the scoreline to Real Madrid’s 3-nil win over Girona.

The Boy from Brum cost Los Blancos a staggering €133.9 million, with add-ons, to acquire his services from the German side, Borussia Dortmund. Joining the European giants, the pressure on him was immense. Many would have crumbled from the weight of The Royal Whites. Jude, on the other hand, has arguably been the best player for Real Madrid this season scoring 5 goals and producing one assist in 6 games. The match on Saturday against Girona was no different.

In the 16th minute of the game, Jude Bellingham picked up the ball on the left-hand side and crossed it using the outside of his foot right foot. The pass was inch-perfect as it reached Joselu within firing range who slotted it into the back of the net.

Fans were astonished by the quality of the cross and so was Girona’s coach, Míchel. In a post-match interview, he said, “Jude Bellingham’s pass was unbelievable. That goal really hurt us a lot after our great start.” Jude would get a goal of his own scoring in the 72nd minute of the game capping off an incredible performance by the 20-year-old as Real Madrid reclaimed the top spot in the La Liga table.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid will now travel to Naples as they play Napoli in the UEFA Champions League at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.

When the big European clubs came flocking around, Jude picked Borussia Dortmund. He said, “They told me you know if you come here we’ll develop you. You’ll get game time and you’ll be an international in two years.” They were not kidding! Within three years Jude lifted the DFB Pokal and was heralded with ‘Bundesliga Player of the Season’ at only 19 years of age.

Jude now calls Santiago Bernabéu his home as he dawns on the colors of Real Madrid. Already becoming a fan favorite, JB was even serenaded by the whole stadium to the Beatles‘ song “Hey Jude”.
