Heung Min Son and Kim Min-Jae to lead the line as South Korea announces 26-member squad for the FIFA World Cup

South Korean national football team has finally revealed their 26-member squad that will take the flight to Qatar for the FIFA World Cup and fans are absolutely thrilled to see their star man, Heung Min Son in the squad. Son suffered an eye fracture in the Champions League matchup against Marseille and was doubtful for the World Cup but manager Paulo Bento named him in the finals squad.
One thing is sure the fans will get to see the Tottenham star play at the World Cup even if it’s not at the very first match. South Korea faces a very tough task as they are in a group that is filled with competition: Ghana, Uruguay, and one of the tournament favorites, Portugal. Bento will look to select his best starting eleven possible and won’t rush the recovery of Son.
With players such as Kim Min-Jae, Lee Kang-In, and Hwang Hee-Chan there is absolutely no shortage of options in the team, and with the European experience, these three players have to step up and drive their team towards success. Most of the players Bento has selected are from the Korean League and it would be foolish to rule this South Korean team out too quickly.
How the final squad looks:
