Certainly, it is time for retirement, but, for most players. CR7 is not that kind, the sort of longevity he had over his career is unparalleled. Not taking the instances from far back, just the last club season with Manchester united. Though the club, couldn’t qualify for this year’s Champions League, CR7’s performance was unmatched at his age.

The two-time Premier League player of the month winner had 6 Champions League goals in 5 appearances, polishing his tag of ‘Mr. Champions League’. In the Premier League, the player had 18 goals as the joint second highest scorer in the league at age 37, with the toughest competition to face in Europe.

Time flies, and it certainly has, but since the start of this season, the player has been struggling to score or perform, asking out of the team could be one reason but surely not enough. Just the starting couldn’t define the ending, so as the player himself said, the right time will only be – when he thinks it is.
