Real Madrid recently signed a new Brazilian wonder kid, Endrick Felipe, from Palmeiras for a massive fee of €72 million including add-ons and taxes. The 16-year-old forward will bring a lot of promise in the upcoming seasons as he is set to join the Los Blancos when he turns 18 in July 2024. In a more recent interview, his father revealed that the future Madrid star is a huge fan of Cristiano Ronaldo and he often tells him that he wants to be like him.
“Endrick is a big fan of Cristiano Ronaldo, he told me: ‘Dad, I want to be like Cristiano.’ They could put any player in front of him & he would choose Cristiano,” said Endrick’s father to ESPN Brazil.
Earlier, even Endrick stated his reasons for choosing Real Madrid despite offers from other clubs like Chelsea and FC Barcelona. The forward revealed his connection with national compatriot Vinicius Junior along and spoke extensively about his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo, highlighting that the Portuguese Talisman was one of the major reasons why he dumbed the Culers for the Los Blancos.
“Real Madrid is a very big team, and Vini had sent me messages and gave me more hope. Cristiano Ronaldo, too, who is my idol, played for Real Madrid. That’s why I chose Real Madrid and I think it’s the right choice. God has always been with me and he has told me that it is the best path,” Endrick told to MARCA.

Following Ronaldo’s FIFA World Cup highlights, the forward attracted a lot of criticism after losing his spot in the playing eleven of Portugal. However, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelloti heaped huge praise on the Portuguese icon and highlighted his professionalism when he was working with him at Real Madrid.
“Ronaldo probably still feels in his 20s because he’s fine, he’s got the answers he’s looking for in his body. I’ve coached him (Ronaldo) for two years and there were no problems. In fact, he solved them for me. Cristiano trains well, he pays attention to detail, and everything was easy for me to manage. He is an exceptional player,” Ancelotti told the Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The all-time leading goalscorer in football and for Real Madrid scored 451 goals in 438 matches, averaging over one goal in every game he played. Arguably, Cristiano Ronaldo can go down the history line as the greatest player ever to dawn the Real Madrid jersey.
