Jude Bellingham has been Real Madrid‘s main man for the greater part of this season. From leading the goal tally in La Liga to becoming the face of the team in a span of months, the youngster looks equipped to win it all at the club. However, his dream debut season got it’s first ‘red’ mark on Saturday. The 20-year-old was on the end of harsh criticism from fans as he was sent off seconds after full-time.
Real Madrid players thought they had won it at the death against Valencia in the final play of the game. Bellingham met a cross from Brahim Diaz in a play which the Los Blancos thought had won them the game. However, in a highly controversial moment, referee Gil Manzano blew for full-time just as the cross was launched into the air.
Freeze frames show that the ball had already left Diaz’s foot when the referee blew his whistle. Overcome by emotion, the €103 million man had a go at the match official.
It’s a f*cking goal, the ball is in the air. What the f*ck is that.

His passionate outburst at the referee, as with every other player who’s ever raised his voice against one, didn’t end well. Manzano immediately brandished a red card in the direction of the #5, as Madrid staff and players swarmed him from all sides.
Fans find fault with Jude Bellingham’s reaction, call it ‘disgusting’
Jude Bellingham has picked up his first red card of his Real Madrid career. A heated argument against the referee and a disallowed goal in the final second of the game made headlines in a 2-2 draw against Valencia. A fan commented that Bellingham’s reaction was absolutely ‘disgusting’ and that the red card was one hundred percent deserved.
Many backed the referee for staying firm to his call, and stated that as per the rules, no goal can stand after the full time whistle. Some mocked the Madrid squad, and labelled the situation as robbers getting robbed. Others reminded how Bellingham was also in the ‘wrong’ for allegedly calling Mason Greenwood a r*pist. A fan said that he (Greenwood) would be on top of the world right now.
In spite of all the negative criticism aimed at the player, supporters of the club came to defend their club. Many claimed that Madrid were robbed and that the referee was in the wrong for the entire incident. Others shifted the blame on the officiating and brought up the Negreira case. Following the draw, Real Madrid dropped points but still find themselves atop the league table.
