Kylian Mbappe is all set to depart from the French capital at the end of the season. Paris Saint-Germain are faced with their worst nightmare as Mbappe’s inevitable departure edges closer day by day. It is no secret that the Frenchman is adored by his club as well as the French population in general. However, the player being invited for dinner with the French President and Emir of Qatar has raised eyebrows.
Mbappe’s contact with the Parisiens ends this summer, with him free to leave the club in June. Despite repeated attempts to convince Mbappe to stay, the player has apparently zeroed in on the Santiago Bernabeu as his next destination. The most recent high-profile meeting led to a lot of assumptions and debate on social media. Many fans laughed at how Mbappe was finally convinced to stay after Emmanuel Macron offered him a share of France’s territory and a national holiday in his name.

However, the real reason as to why the player met with the President and Emir of Qatar is something completely different. The high-profile meeting was more of an attempt to resolve the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict than to convince Mbappe to stay.
As per reports, the French President has requested the presence of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, to negotiate for a ceasefire in the ongoing conflict. It is also understood that Mbappe and Nasser Al-Khelaifi will also be joined by other PSG players on Tuesday at the Elysee Palace.
Luis Enrique gives a bold statement as the relationship between coach and Frenchman sours
Kylian Mbappe’s departure from the French capital is no secret anymore. The player has turned down repeated attempts at extension made by the club while also communicating his desire to part ways. Not all goodbyes are sweet, and Mbappe’s relationship with PSG boss Luis Enrique has gone ‘sour’. The Spaniard confidently told the press that he would play the #10 when he wanted to.

PSG were held at home by a resolute Stade Rennais as Kylian Mbappe failed to pick up a goal or assist. The Frenchman was surprisingly subbed off halfway into the second half, with the manager receiving backlash from supporters and on social media. However, his change paid off, as his replacement Gonçalo Ramos netted the equalizer in injury time.
In a post-match press conference, the manager did not hold back from his position towards Mbappe’s departure. While no club in Europe would willing to let go of a player of his ability, Luis Enrique said,
Sooner or later, at some point, we have to get used to playing without him (Mbappe)
Brutal to say the least, Kylian Mbappe leaving PSG will mark the end of an era for the reigning French champions.
