Argentine superstar Lionel Messi will not continue with Paris Saint Germain any more in the coming season, according to recently surfaced reports. The decision which was floating as a rumour in the air for a couple of weeks is now confirmed. The agent of the 35-year-old Jorge Messi has communicated the decision of the player to the Parisian club. 

The former Barcelona star was suspended for two weeks for his unsanctioned trip to Saudi Arabia. The Argentine forward didn’t sign his new contract with the Ligue 1 giants which was on the verge of expiry.

The seven times Ballon d’Or winner has been linked to Barcelona and Al Hilal for months now. The ending of the relationship between the Parisian club and the player may bring the player closer to Barcelona. It is no longer a secret Barcelona president Joan Laporta and Lione Messi have been in talks for a couple of days regarding his return.

The World Cup winner wants to stay in Europe but has recently visited Saudi Arabia. It is also reported that the Riyadh-based club has further raised the offer to $500 million per year. The Argentine superstar has reportedly put them on hold for a month. The player will accept the offer only if he receives no better offer from other clubs.
