After winning his first FIFA World Cup title, Lionel Messi has finally decided on his future after months of chaotic media reports and unending rumors. Reportedly, the Argentina captain has decided to stay at Paris Saint-Germain for further more time. There were various rumors that Messi would stop playing European football, and would leave to join clubs like either Inter Miami or Barcelona.
Renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano shunned all these rumors after he reported that Lionel Messi has decided to stay in Paris beyond 2023. Many suggested that the 35-year-old forward was close to leaving the Ligue 1 club for David Beckham‘s Inter Miami. Although, he has verbally agreed to play for the PSG for another season as the deal will be signed soon. Nothing is signed as of now. The Argentine is enjoying his FIFA World Cup win at the moment.
“No decision yet on the length of contract and salary, it will be decided in a new meeting,” Fabrizio reported. PSG president Al Khelaifi and the board are trying their best to seal the contract in the coming few weeks. An in-form Lionel Messi is just getting started to take over the French league. According to various outlets, Lionel Messi was close to joining MLS club Inter Miami just before the FIFA World Cup began. While some also suggested that he might head back to Barcelona due to his family. None of this turned out to be entirely true as the Argentine has decided to play for PSG as a World Champion.
