In the match against Benfica, PSG scored 1 past the net and got back 1 in the Champions League on Wednesday. With Lionel Messi opening the scoring for PSG, he creates an important record in the UCL, that was previously equaled by both the GOATs Cristiano Ronaldo and the Argentine.
The record was for the Most opponents scored against in the Champions League, which is now held by the Argentine – 40. Social media celebrated the record for the great player, the team couldn’t swim out of the puddle but ended as an equalizer.
Cristiano Ronaldo has almost every important record in the Champions League named after himself. With the Argentine breaking one against another great is a huge achievement, and many more to come for the PSG player, considering the opportunity that CR7 is not playing in this season’s Champions League.
