The World has gone crazy after their star from Rosario, Lionel Messi, finally lifted the prize he desired the most all his life, the World Cup, in probably his last ever World Cup game. Lionel Messi posted a picture of him lifting the world cup on his Instagram handle. The post has broken all barriers and has become the most-liked picture on Instagram.
The World Cup celebration picture of Messi, his teammates, and the fans has received 57 million likes and surpassed the previous world record held by the World Record Egg, which gained 56 million likes. He posted the picture with a caption saying, “Thank you very much to my family, to all who support me, and to all who believe in us,”.
He added, “We demonstrate once again that Argentines when we fight together and united we are capable of achieving what we set out to do. The merit belongs to this group, which is above individuals. It is the strength of all fighting for the same dream that was also the dream of all Argentines… We did it!!!”

The World Cup 2022 in Qatar was going to be Lionel Messi’s last ever World Cup tournament; this was his last chance to fulfill his long-wanted dream. He came close to getting it done in 2014, losing it against Germany. Since then, the man has suffered a lot in his career, from having been criticized for not performing in crucial matches to retiring from the international team.
The stage was set brilliantly for the 7-time Ballon d’Or winner and everyone from almost all parts of the country was glued to their TV. screens in what was the last time they would get to see Messi’s magic at the World Cups. The match ended 3-3 after an intense 120 minutes with both sides giving it their all on the pitch and in the penalties, Argentina ended their 38-year-long wait.
After the final against France, which football fans will remember till their last breath. It will be written in the history books as the most excellent final ever. The match fulfilled the dreams of millions as they saw the little boy for Rosario take hands on the golden trophy that he has long wanted.
