Manchester United has finally taken legal action against their star man Cristiano Ronaldo and has decided to sack him over a breach of contract. He has also decided to cut the remaining of his contract and Ronaldo will not receive a single penny out of the £16m remaining on his contract for his explosive interview.

Ronaldo accused United’s management and the owners of ‘betraying’ him and also said manager Erik ten Hag showed him a “lack of respect” by dropping him to the bench. The club hired several lawyers to investigate the situation and gave their final verdict advising the club to breach the terms of his contract.

A short clip was released on Sunday and the club wanted to wait for the full interview to get aired and then decided to respond according to it. Then they issued a statement on Friday saying “appropriate steps” were now being taken and they have now sacked the player after the final part of the explosive interview.

What were the explosive comments said by Cristiano Ronaldo on the club?

Cristiano Ronaldo said, “I have no respect for him [Ten Hag] because he doesn’t show respect for me. Some people, they don’t want me here – not only the coach but the other two or three guys. Not only this year but last year too. Honestly, I shouldn’t say that. But listen, I don’t care. People should listen to the truth. Yes, I feel betrayed.”

On account of the owners, The Glazers, he said, “The Glazers, they don’t care about the club. I mean, professional sport, as you know, Manchester is a marketing club. They will get money from the marketing – the sport, it’s, they don’t really care, in my opinion. The fans, they’re always right. I think the fans should know the truth, should know that the players want the best for the club.”
