On 1st February, Real Madrid played Getafe in the Coliseum. During the match, Real Madrid superstar Jude Bellingham was spotted calling Mason Greenwood a “r*pist”. A lip reader was 97% sure that Bellingham did say the word and La Liga were ready to take action on the midfielder, but Greenwood is trying to ensure the case is dropped.
Before joining Getafe on loan, Greenwood was suspended by Manchester United after he was charged with sexual assault, domestic abuse and controlling behavior. After all his charges were dropped, United decided to part ways with him due to his case, sending him to Getafe on loan.
La Liga officials were not happy with the fact that Bellingham called him a r*pist and are ready to suspend him. Greenwood wants it dropped with the possibility of a suspension looming over the star’s head.
According to The Sun, one of their sources close to the forward said he was hurt by Bellingham’s comments, but wanted the investigation stopped. The source claims he didn’t expect it from the Real Madrid star, with rumors of the midfielder helping Greenwood in getting the move to Getafe. Regardless, he wanted it dropped as he didn’t want the bad press and wanted to focus on football.
