Spain national football team has finally revealed their 26-member squad that will take the flight to Qatar for the FIFA World Cup and fans are absolutely furious with the decisions and the selections made by the manager Luis Enrique. With several star players not being selected, Enrique has made a big gamble as he has selected a very young side ahead of the big tournament.
A legend of the game, Sergio Ramos for who it would have been his last World Cup tournament was denied a place in the 26-man squad. Thiago and Nacho were also omitted from the squad despite Nacho’s brilliant season with Real Madrid lifting the Champions League. Fans were already booing Enrique when he took a bold decision to exclude De Gea from his 55-squad preliminary squad but now have gone restless.
It will be nothing but tough times for Enrique if Spain doesn’t get to the later stages of the tournament considering the calls he has taken this time with most fans against it. Twitter has been blasting with negative comments for the manager but the board has decided to back his decisions. He would be looking to bring the trophy back home and the players need to fulfill the trust the manager has bestowed upon them.
