Harry Arter is an English Footballer, who plays for Premier League side Nottingham Forest. The 33-year-old operates as a central or defensive midfielder. However, Arter has made headlines, not for his performances on the pitch, but rather news regarding his unwillingness to ‘terminate’ his contract with Forest. Arter has failed to be included in the Premier League squad for the club in the last two seasons, sitting out both the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons.

The player is currently on a £40K-per-week contract with Nottingham Forest. His failure to be included in the squad for two consecutive seasons has given rise to tensions within the club as management seeks to offload the player from the wage bill.

As per reports, the 33-year-old is looking to run down his contract with Forest, after the club failed to convince the player to part ways during the summer transfer window. Currently, at £40K a week, that player is taking up a significant portion of the wage bill.

It was also reported that Arter turned up for Pre-season unfit and almost 2 kilograms over the club’s guidelines. After making the move from Bournemouth to Forest back in 2020, Arter has not started for Steve Cooper’s side after they gained promotion to the Premier League. There are also reports that there is a lack of interest from the player’s side to force a move to Cooper’s first team.

Harry Arter’s focus remains on running down his contract, which goes until the end of the 23/24 season.
