The Portuguese player widely condemned Manchester United, expressed disrespect for Erik ten Hag, and stated that old teammates Wayne Rooney and Gary Neville are no longer his mates.

During the Manchester United forward’s interview controversy, Paul Pogba provided an intriguing glimpse into Cristiano Ronaldo’s training ritual. He believes that players such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Cristiano Ronaldo are the epitome of professionalism.

Pogba played alongside Ronaldo for a year at Manchester United before joining Juventus during the summer transfer window. The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner told Wahed on the Muslim Money Guys podcast:

“I see professional football players – like Zlatan – a lot of players are very professional, they come early, they do all their recovery and stuff like that. But someone that’s been there every single day and doesn’t stop. That’s Cristiano”

Pogba stated that Ronaldo’s insane amount of determination frequently had him in awe. The Frenchman added: “It’s just his personality, he’s a winner, that’s for sure. He wants to always be right, he’s never satisfied with what he’s done, and he always wants more.”

For the FIFA World Cup in Qatar in 2022, Ronaldo will serve as Portugal’s captain. He will reflect their best chance for a winning campaign.

Ronaldo missed Portugal’s friendly Match against Nigeria. After demolishing Nigeria 4-0 in that friendly, Portugal will look to start their World Cup campaign on a winning note when they take on Ghana on November 24.
