Piers Morgan has come out strongly against Erik ten Hag stating that the manager loves to humiliate his players and further adding, “His own managerial failings continue to humiliate United.”
The Sun columnist has made his views on Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, crystal clear. After Cristiano Ronaldo was removed from the club, Piers labelled the Dutchman a ‘clown’ for his actions. The Jadon Sancho saga gave him another reason to berate the United manager stating, “Ten Hag loves to humiliate his players”. While Sancho is currently barred from all first-team facilities, Piers Morgan has offered Sancho an alternative.
“I’ll get you out of this Ten Hag nightmare,” Piers Morgan tweeted on X after Sancho released his note claiming to be made ‘scapegoat’. The English Broadcaster has been straightforward with his critique of ten Hag, berating the man with comments implying that the manager has poor man-management skills. Add to that, United’s poor start to the season has not given Piers a reason to be quiet labelling Erik’s time at United a ‘managerial failure’.
Erik ten Hag achieved a much-needed win against Crystal Palace on Tuesday after the Red Devils capped off a 3-0 win with a performance that was applauded by the Old Trafford crowd. The United coach will be hoping to carry on the momentum as a big test awaits them on the 29th of October when they welcome Treble-winning derby rivals, Manchester City.

The Erik ten Hag and Jadon Sancho debacle
When asked about why Jadon Sancho was uninvolved against Arsenal, Erik ten Hag replied that the player had not trained according to the standards set by the club. Less than happy with his gaffer’s response, Sancho replied to this accusation on X stating that he was being made ‘scapegoat’ for the loss. A meeting had to be held after the tweet made headlines in several media outlets and also to fix the relationship between Erik and Jadon. The meeting unfortunately failed as the player refused to apologize.

Sancho has since then been demoted and has been removed from the senior team. He was pictured training and dining with the academy players of United instead. Now, however, he is completely barred from all senior-team facilities including the canteen.
United teammates, Marcus Rasford and Luke Shaw both urged the player to apologize to ten Hag but to no avail. The player now could be on his way out as he is reportedly open to a transfer away from the club.
