The continuous fights for years between the renowned journalist Piers Morgan and Gary Lineker have once again surfaced on the internet where this time they’re not having the Lionel Messi vs Cristiano Ronaldo debate, but the former footballer Gary has trolled him on his past comments made on the Portuguese.
Gary through his Twitter wrote, “You change your mind depending on who allows you to interview them” making striking remarks about his integrity and sharing an article published in the newspaper from 2008 where he criticized the Portuguese of whom he’s a great admirer now.
The journalist made the headlines and wrote, “Ronaldo is a spoiled brat, why cheer him?” Back in 2008 when it was clear that the Journalist wasn’t a huge fan of the Portuguese legend. The journalist believes the Portuguese to be the greatest to have ever played the sport and is nowadays seen supporting him on his bad days.
Piers Morgan’s recent support of Cristiano Ronaldo
The Portuguese star has gathered the support of the renowned journalist who has defended him and lashed out at Eric Ten Hag ahead of Manchester United’s clash with Chelsea. The Arsenal fan believes the Portuguese to be the greatest football player and that he’s not getting the respect that he deserves.
The Journalist said, “Disgraceful. Ten Hag once again opted to humiliate the footballer in history and United’s top scorer last season…”, lashing out at the coach. “Cristiano should find another club asap where they treat him with the respect he’s earned.” Said the journalist about his opinion that the Portuguese must take this action concerning the disrespect.
Although he is one amongst the many football pundits and fans who share an almost similar feeling about the club and the Portuguese’s position at the club. The disrespect as called by many, and the right treatment by many others, the issue seem to get more crippling than resolving.
