Nasser Al-Khelaifi comments on Kylian Mbappe and the issues regarding his staying or leaving the club. The PSG President believes that such issues stay within the family and Kylian is part of the family. Further, he added that Mbappe is the best in the world right now, and he deserves the Ballon d’Or.
Kylian Mbappe’s flirtation with a move to Real Madrid is no secret. He extended his PSG contract until 2024, but it ends soon. The Parisian club hopes he won’t leave for free next summer because he’s crucial for the team. PSG initially signed him from AS Monaco for €145 million, plus €35 million in bonuses, after a year-long loan.
Nasser Al-Khelaifi has not kept his love for the player a secret. “I’m proud of what he does. We have the best player in the world, and for me, he deserves the Ballon d’Or,” said the Qatari businessman. When the club first signed the player, Nasser spoke about why Mbappe chose PSG, stating, “He’s French, he’s a Parisian, and he had the club in his heart.”
Fiorentino Perez was noticeably upset about Mbappe’s contract extension. As the Real Madrid President commented on the player while signing autographs, “Poor man, he will already be sorry.” The saga is yet to end, as Mbappe will be available on a free transfer next season. With reports suggesting that the player won’t be extending until 2025, Madrid knows they are Mbappe’s top choice.
Kylian Mbappe is currently on fire as he has already scored 7 goals in 4 games in Ligue 1 this season. The young French star has always performed at the highest level whether surrounded by transfer rumors or not.
Kylian Mbappe has been a star for ages
Kylian Mbappe joined PSG on loan from Monaco after dethroning PSG from the Ligue 1 title. His blistering pace and scoring prowess made headlines at a young age as he was a crucial figure in the Monaco team which ended the season on 95 points. Since then the Frenchman has appeared in the colours of PSG and has gone on to win 5 more league titles.

Kylian Mbappe has been a PSG star, scoring over 220 goals in 265 games. He’s been a top performer since the 2016/2017 season when he won his first title. His reputation grew further after his remarkable 2018 World Cup performance.
Mbappe nearly secured back-to-back titles for France, in the 2022 Qatar World Cup, except for Emiliano Martinez’s heroic penalty saves. Despite Neymar and Lionel Messi joining PSG, Mbappe has remained the club’s shining star.
