Kim Kardashian was spotted on the streets of Los Angeles wearing a Roma home jersey from the 1997-98 campaign. The photo has gone viral on social media. However, it is unknown why the American model and influencer, who has 342 million followers on Instagram, donned the Giallorossi jersey at a public appearance in Los Angeles on Friday.
The identical jersey worn by Kim Kardashian was worn by Serie A luminaries like Cafu, Francesco Totti, Abel Balbo, Aldair, and Marco Delvecchio that season while Zdenek Zeman served as Roma’s head coach. They finished 4th in that year’s league table and reached the Copa Italia quarterfinals. Though it lacked results, the 97-98 season was special for Roma fans as it marked the international breakthrough of their very own Francesco Totti. He was made the team captain at just 21 that season and responded by scoring 13 goals playing as a left winger.
