Romelu Lukaku returned to Inter Milan for £6.7 million, one year after Chelsea spent out £97.5 million on the Belgian: Reports
Romelu Lukaku
Romelu Lukaku’s loan fee from Inter Milan has been made public, and it is considerably less than the high price Chelsea paid for him last year. Inter has disclosed that despite selling the Belgian striker the season before for a large sum, their acquisition of him cost them just £6.7 million.
Romelu Lukaku was lured back to Stamford Bridge for £97 million by Chelsea, but when his comeback did not go as expected, the Blues chose to loan him to his old team. Fabrizio Romano also stated on Twitter that Inter is under no obligation to make the striker an outright purchase when his loan period is through.
Romano claims that both teams’ goals surrounding the player are clear, despite the fact that the parties were unable to come to an agreement. The clubs have already begun talking, and everything points to Lukaku returning to Milan for the upcoming campaign. If the deal becomes more permanent, Inter will be hoping that the 29-year-old can repeat his results from his previous stint in Italy.
Prior to the 2021–22 season, Lukaku made a triumphant return to Chelsea, and their club-record acquisition started off strong. He looked like good value for his transfer money early on, scoring four goals in as many games, including his debut against London rivals Arsenal in a commanding showing.

Romelu Lukaku’s move back to Italy is proving to be beneficial
After Henrikh Mkhitaryan and an Edin Dzeko brace effectively guaranteed his club of at least second place in Group C, Inter’s fourth goal came three minutes later and only four minutes after Lukaku replaced Lautaro Martinez.
Barca has been demoted to the Europa League ahead of their encounter against Bayern Munich later today thanks to Inter’s thrashing victory at a crowded San Siro, where Lukaku made his first appearance in two months after suffering a thigh injury.

Four minutes after the Belgian player entered the game in the 83rd, he scored. Inter’s final goal of the game ensured their advancement to the knockout rounds of the Champions League. Lukaku kissed the Inter Milan crest on his jersey as he celebrated his score.
