Shakira recently announced on Twitter that she’s working on her next single alongside British songwriter David Stewart. The singer has recently gone through a rejuvenation in her music career after her highly publicized split with ex-boyfriend Gerard Pique. The couple dated for 11 years before breaking up amicably in June 2022.

The Waka Waka singer uploaded a selfie with David Stewart earlier on Sunday from a London-based studio. She captioned it with, “In London working with @dstewartmusic on what might be my next single.” The British singer-songwriter has been one of the up-and-coming stars in the UK music scene since his collaboration with the popular South Korean band BTS. Neither of them has given any details of a possible release date of the song they were referring to.

Since her breakup, Shakira has been making numerous songs, taking digs at her ex and his new girlfriend Clara Chia Marti. Marti was the one he cheated on her with. The Colombian dropped a recording session with Argentine producer Bizzarap, where she dissed the former Spanish defender openly for the first time. The lyrics of the song said, “I’m worth two 22-year-olds, You traded in a Ferrari for a Twingo, You traded in a Rolex for a Casio.”

The song topped musical charts worldwide and practically announced her comeback to her musical roots. Thereafter, Shakira moved to Miami from Barcelona, along with her children, and continues to create new music. She has taken a dark moment in her life and channelized it into something positive.

Shakira’s presence in London can also mean that she might be present in the Silverstone GP to support Lewis Hamilton. Rumors have been swirling around that the Mercedes driver and the Colombian singer have been dating after they were spotted kissing and hanging out together in Barcelona. The Grand Prix will take place on Sunday and fans can expect the singer to be in attendance.

Will Shakira be supporting Lewis Hamilton?

The sight that everyone is eager to see from this weekend’s British Grand Prix is of Shakira at the Silverstone circuit, supporting Lewis Hamilton. Undoubtedly, one of the most prominent individuals linked to her since her breakup with Gerard Pique has been the Mercedes legend.

Shakira has been a lot on the move. In the past few days in Europe, she attended the Viktor and Rolf fashion show in Paris, where she played a significant role. The Sun newspaper published images capturing the moment when the singer arrived at St. Pancras train station, in the Kings Cross area, right in the heart of London within a couple of days following the event.

At the moment, there is no official confirmation regarding Shakira’s attendance at the British Grand Prix. It is worth remembering that she could also consider attending Wimbledon, another significant event taking place around the same time. However, going by the trend, fans would more likely spot her in the f1 race, as she referred to herself as a “Ferrari”.
