Shakira is proof that resilience exists, as the famous Colombian singer used her best tool, music, to heal the deep wound inflicted on her by her ex-partner, Gerard Piqué. During her appearance on the famous “Jimmy Fallon Show,” the renowned presenter and actor asked the South American singer how she has dealt with the process with her children, Milan and Sasha.
“You know, I’ve had a very difficult year after my separation, and writing this song was very important for me, it was a very healthy way to manage to channel my emotions, and I feel that after releasing this song, that happened.” She also mentioned that it created a “sisterhood” of women who have been through the same things she had been through, and who had to “put up with as much as crap” as she had to.
Shakira also discussed the process of writing the catchy song, which has already broken 14 Guinness World Records and is causing quite a stir in the global music industry. “I wrote this song for me, but I also feel like it was meant to be and probably for a lot of women out there who needed a forum as well, a voice to represent them.”
Shakira revealed to Jimmy in the same interview that her son Milan was the actual creator of this collaboration. The child was in charge of bringing together his mother and the Argentine rapper.

Barcelona star Gerard Pique has given a response to Shakira after her multiple diss tracks against him. This includes the viral Shakira BZRP Music Sessions Vol. 53, which contains lyrics such as “You swapped a Ferrari for a [Renault] Twingo, you swapped a Rolex for a Casio.” Shakira also placed a full-sized witch doll on her balcony, which allegedly faces her ex-mother-in-law’s house.
Pique hasn’t shied away from a response. The former Manchester United player announced he would be a new brand ambassador for Casio in response to Shakira’s line referencing him “you swapped a Rolex for a Casio”. He also responded to the line about “you swapped a Ferrari for a [Renault] Twingo,” too, by turning up to training in an £8,000 Renault.
Out of sheer frustration over the constant attacks against him, his girlfriend, and his family, Gerard Pique is also considering legal action against Shakira. A few days ago, he sent death threats to a journalist and almost ran him over with his car.
