The drama between Gerard Pique and Shakira shows no signs of fading. Recent Reports from Marca now reveal why Pique’s new girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti, had to stay with her parents a few weeks ago.

In late January, reports surfaced that Clara had fled to her parents’ home to handle the pressure from Shakira’s latest diss track “BZRP Music Sessions #53.” However, Spanish publications including Marca now state that Clara left Pique’s penthouse because his children were visiting Shakira.

Early in 2022, Pique moved out of the family home before announcing the split. Clara now lives with Pique at his Calle de Muntaner penthouse and they are often seen together, but she was absent in January.

Laura Fa and Lorena Vázquez of the “Mamarazzis” podcast say that the couple agreed for Clara to stay away from the penthouse when Shakira’s children visit. They also report that Clara has not been introduced as Pique’s girlfriend to Milan and Sasha and is only known to them as his friend. The PR student is 23 years old and has not been introduced as Pique’s girlfriend. She is only known to Pique’s kids Milan (10) and Sasha (8) as his friend.

The clarity of Shakira’s involvement in this arrangement remains unknown, but it appears that she would prefer it to be this way for now. Rumors suggest that the singer plans to move permanently to Miami with her two children, but she and Pique reached a comprehensive agreement on shared custody and visitation late last year. The existence of a clause regarding the presence of new partners during either parent’s custody of the children is uncertain.
