SHOCKING: James Maddison’s world cup dreams might be over as he limps off the field in the 24th minute against West Ham United

Just two days before, Leicester City player James Maddison was absolutely on top of his life after making it into the 26-member squad in Gareth Southgate’s team for the World Cup. Even the fans were very thrilled to see James finally make it to the team after so many years of hard work and determination.
But last night in the Premier League match against West Ham United, he limped off the field with an injury in the first half of the match. James Maddison opened the scoring for his side in the highly contested match which would also be the last club match before the World Cup break but in the 22nd minute.
He left the pitch immediately leaving the entire nation worried about whether his World Cup would be over even before starting off. Every English fan was praying and hoping it wouldn’t be a bad injury. The news came in later that it was a muscle injury and that the playmaker left the pitch as a precautionary measure.
What did the English fans say about this injury?

Fans were absolutely thrilled when Southgate included Maddison in his plans for Qatar but when the player limped off the pitch last night Twitter was absolutely buzzing with tweets. A fan said, “James Maddison down off the ball holding his hamstring. This is awful, absolutely awful. This doesn’t look good at all.”
Someone also said, “Maybe this is wishful thinking but if I’m Maddison and I’ve already got a goal on the board and my flight to Qatar leaves in two hours I’m absolutely 100% faking an injury.” Michael Owen also gave his verdict on the injury saying, “Surely not. Maddison off with what looks like a hamstring injury. Football can be so cruel,” if anyone would know what a hamstring injury looks like in fairness.”
