Nigerian footballer Victor Osimhen has deleted all his photos wearing a SSC Napoli jersey from his Instagram account. The Napoli striker was recently mocked by the club on two different occasions, one calling him a ‘coconut’ and the other mocking his behavior.
The Nigerian striker has not taken this matter lightly, as his agent, Roberto Calenda, has spoken on behalf of the player. On X, he stated, “What happened today on Napoli’s official profile on the TikTok platform is not acceptable.” Calenda would then reveal that Osimhen could sue Napoli for these actions.
He said, “We reserve the right to take legal action and any useful initiative to protect Victor.” Osimhen played a vital role in Napoli’s first Serie A title in 33 years. It was a trophy that has alluded them since the times of Diego Maradona, and they picked up the Golden Boot along the way. The player had even thanked the fans and staff on social media for their unwavering support.
Now it appears that Victor Osimhen has lost his respect for the club after deleting photos of him in a Napoli jersey on Instagram. His photos now only consists of his friends, family, country and former clubs. The player also seems to have had a fallout with current manager Rudi Garcia after he was subbed off in the 79th minute against Bologna after missing a penalty.
Could this be an indication of Victor Osimhen’s time at Napoli coming to an end? The Nigerian has had a huge impact on the team and is one of the best players on the team. Fans will be hoping this issue can be resolved quickly as they welcome Real Madrid on the 3rd of October as part of the UEFA Champions League.

Possible transfers for Victor Osimhen
The world of football is currently low on world class center forwards and Victor Osimhen’s performances indicate that he could solve that problem for many teams. Clubs such as Manchester United and Chelsea have shown interest in the Nigerian striker after he impressed with his dazzling performances last season.
Osimhen scored 26 goals in the league last season and was the best forward in Serie A. With many clubs swarming the player for his signature, he would often shut down talks of a move away, stating, “I am already at one of the biggest clubs and I could not ask for more. Forza Napoli always!”
However, amidst the growing tensions between the club and the player, a transfer away may not seem out of the realm as the player has publicly shown his disdain for Napoli’s actions. His services, however, will be tough to acquire as Napoli rates the player quite highly as shown by their owner, Aurelio De Laurentiis. The latter said, “With 200 million you can only buy one foot of Osimhen.”
