WATCH: England & Wales fans throw punches at each other after disappointing performance from their national sides at the 2022 FIFA World Cup
Next Tuesday’s World Cup encounter between England and Wales is one of the final games in Group B. Wales lost shockingly to Iran on Friday, while the Three Lions were held to a scoreless draw against the USA. Both teams compete against one another in order to advance to the tournament’s next round at the Ahmed bin Ali Stadium.
But Meanwhile, England and Wales’s fans have been seen fighting in Tenerife prior to their encounter. Disturbing scenes of many street fights can be seen on film as both sets of fans could be seen throwing punches and objects at each other. They were clearly drunk as could be interpreted from the video.
A group of young males engaging in a vicious confrontation with several older-looking men while dozens of fans watch and record the fight on their phones is shown in a shocking video posted on Twitter. Many of the young men are not wearing shirts. As the camera pans around, it is evident that numerous fights were going on at once outside Revolution nightclub, a notorious party destination on the island.
England & Wales both failed to win their second group stage matches at the 2022 FIFA World Cup
Following a dominant 6-2 victory against Iran to start their campaign, England struggled against the USA, drawing 0-0. At the final whistle, there were several jeers from the crowd as Gareth Southgate acknowledged them. While Gareth Bale’s team lost 2-0 yesterday in their match against Iran.
England currently leads group B and only needs one point from their final match against Wales on Tuesday to advance. Wales, meanwhile, has to defeat England by a margin more than four goals in order to advance out of the group stages of their first world cup since 1958. Alternatively, they must defeat England and rely on the USA and Iran to draw. Next Tuesday, the final two games of group B will be played.
