In PSG’s second-round group stage match against Maccabi Haifa F.C., a fan jumped over the fences and was so adamant about running toward Lionel Messi that he lost one of his shoes in the process. He rushed to the pitch during the match and hugged him and then went onto his knees out of respect for the seven-time Ballon D’or winner.
PSG was playing away from home at the Sammy Ofer Stadium in Israel when the incident took place, a man wearing a black shirt and blue jeans hopped the wall and sprinted down the pitch to hug Messi. The guy ran past the security guard and in the process even got hit the shoe thrown by the guard but in the end, was finally taken back by the security.

Lionel Messi is undoubtedly one of the greatest players ever to have ever graced football and it is no secret how much his fans love and adore him. He has always been close to his fans and has always been kind to them no matter the situation and the place which is a true personality of a great human being.
Messi never refuses a hug, photo or an autograph as he knows the feeling of being a fan considering the situation as he was a fan of Maradona once as well. The Argentinian has nothing more to prove to the world of football and some even consider him to be the greatest of all time despite that, he is always humble and continues to stand as an inspiration for so many.
