France legend Patrice Evra mocks Harry Kane over FIFA World Cup quarter-final horror.
Harry Kane and Patrice Evra
Manchester United legend Patrice Evra mocked Tottenham Hotspur captain Harry Kane for his penalty miss against France in the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The English striker is still haunted by the miss that denied his country going to the competition’s semi-finals. In an exciting game, France won the quarter-finals match 2-1 against the Three Lions.
After yet another international upset, the striker is back in action in the Premier League. Tottenham played against Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium, and the match ended 2-2. Harry Kane was in turmoil of challenges in the box but wasn’t awarded a penalty kick for the tackle.
Patrice Evra insisted that it was a penalty as the Englishman was fouled inside the box. “It’s a penalty. It is 100% a penalty.” Evra exclaimed to Amazon Prime. “The only reason, and sometimes I like to make jokes, but maybe Harry is fine with that. I don’t need a penalty right now,” the former French international said.
Harry Kane was devastated after failing to equalize against European rivals at the FIFA World Cup. The Englishman once again almost won a penalty for the North London club but did not have the referees’ approval. Despite this, Harry Kane scored a goal in the second half of the game to get the Spurs on the scoresheet.
Wounds from the night in Qatar still haven’t healed, as Kane and his other teammates still mourn over their World Cup exit. He was seen getting consolations by fellow captain Jordan Henderson. “It is hard to take for sure but I can be proud of the group. This will hurt for a while but we will dust ourselves down to get ready for the future.” Harry Kane told the press after the game against France.

Harry Kane’s International career with England
Harry Kane is, the captain of the England football team, one of our generation’s most talented strikers. Although, the 29-year-old forward has failed to win silverware with either club or country. The horrific eliminations the England national team faced have often broken down Harry Kane’s dream of winning a trophy.
Harry Kane has still been prominent for his national team throughout his career. Kane even won the Golden Boot at the 2018 FIFA World Cup, scoring six goals in the tournament. He still reminisces about his penalty miss against France that could have increased England’s chances of fighting for the World title.
The English captain leveled Wayne Rooney’s all-time top-scorers record by scoring his 50th goal for the national team. If he had scored the second penalty, Harry Kane would be England’s leading goal-scorer.
