Back in 2019, American female footballer Alex Morgan reportedly revealed why rape charges against Portuguese maestro Cristiano Ronaldo were dropped. According to reports, Alex Morgan reportedly claimed that there was a use of money in the dropping of the rape case against Cristiano Ronaldo.
In 2019, in an interview with a Portuguese television TVI, Cristiano Ronaldo disclosed that 2018 was the worst year of his life. This was because of the rape allegation that was levelled against him. The allegation proved too hard for him to take in, leading to the worst year of his life. Ronaldo was reportedly accused of raping a woman in Las Vegas 10 years ago. However, the charges were dropped later since the probe couldn’t be proven at trial beyond a reasonable doubt.
Ronaldo in that interview reportedly said, “2018 was probably my worst year ever, personally speaking. When people question your honor, it hurts, it hurts a lot. When people attack your honor, it is difficult.” Cristiano further added that this was more hurting because now he had a family, a wife, and an intelligent child who understood a lot of things.
Although it was also reported that Mayorga had been paid a staggering amount of $375,000. The amount was paid to Mayorga to keep her silent about the event. But then, American female footballer Alex Morgan came out in public and reportedly stated that money helped to suppress and cover a lot of evidence while taking an indirect dig at Cristiano Ronaldo. In an interview with Sports Illustrated magazine, Alex said, “I do think that a lot of times in today’s climate women have spoken up, and it’s important to support those women. And I think a lot of people right now are questioning who is right and who is wrong.”
Alex Morgan Further added that when she looks at Cristiano’s story, she could see too much evidence to be covered. She said at the end of the day money was something that could put any story down. Morgan while concluding, also reportedly revealed that the criminal charges were dropped so that CR7 could continue playing football.
No conclusive evidence was reportedly found to date to certainly say that the rape allegations of Mayorga against Cristiano Ronaldo were true indeed. Although the speculations reported still go around about this case. But it seems that Ronaldo is not bothered about it. Now 39, Cristiano is reportedly living a very happy and successful life, with his lover and partner Georgina Rodriguez. The couple has built themselves a small happy family along with their kids, Cristiano Jr, Mateo, Alana Martina, and Eva Maria.

Cristiano Ronaldo receives positive news about his penthouse at Lisbon
Things may not be going so great for Cristiano Ronaldo on the pitch right now. But Cristiano Ronaldo has received some exciting news regarding one of his prized real estate assets in Lisbon. Ronaldo has reportedly been informed that he can now renovate the terrace of his apartment after a prolonged disagreement with the Lisbon City Council. Two years ago, the council requested Ronaldo remove a glass canopy allegedly built without proper authorization.
The former player of Real Madrid, Cristiano, reportedly can now construct a “shade pergola” in his apartment. As per reported by Ao Minuto, this will cost around $7.2 million. This dispute with the Lisbon City Council dates back to 2021 when Georgina Rodriguez shared a video of the terrace publicly. This led to the council requesting its removal since it did not reportedly comply with the original infrastructure project.
As per the architect and designer of the apartment, José Mateu, the City Council’s decision was a “lack of respect” towards his creation. The Council reported expressed that the glass canopy on the terrace went against the final specifications of the project approved by the Câmara Municipal de Lisboa for the building. Therefore, reportedly constitutes an alleged urban illegality.
