Why did Eminem decline the $8 million offer to perform at 2022 FIFA World Cup?

The 2022 FIFA World Cup is one of the greatest events in Football and World Cup history. The event featured some of the most colorful opening and closing ceremonies ever. Renowned artists such as Davido, Aisha, Ozuna, Gims, Nora Fathi, Balqees, Rahma Riad, and Manal displays were well applauded by football fans from all over the globe.

However, the aforementioned musicians are not the only ones the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar authorities have approached. Rapp Music idol Eminem was one of the many who was offered a chance to be part of history. But Eminem declined a sizable proposal to perform at Qatar’s 2022 FIFA World Cup. Fans missed what would have been a special performance from someone who goes beyond the ordinary to ensure that his listeners get a service that is nothing short of exceptional.

50 Cent, Eminem’s close associate, appeared on Big Boy’s Neighborhood to launch the new edition of his hit TV show BMF. The G-Unit businessman talked about how he and Eminem received a $9 million deal to appear at Qatar’s 2022 FIFA World Cup. 50 claimed that if Eminem had accepted, he would have kept the remaining $1 million for himself.

In addition, 50 Cent said that if someone wished to provide a “one-off” performance, they should go to the “largest live sporting event in the world.”  When the offer came in, 50 contacted Paul Rosenberg, manager of Eminem, to negotiate it but it was eventually declined. It’s unknown if Eminem was informed of the offer personally. The rejection could be because the host nation is “Qatar” for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The Arab country was accused of violating human rights, and various artists worldwide did not support the actions and Eminem could be just one of them. Eminem is not a newcomer. He is a well-known classic hip-hop star. He has made it a habit of rejecting lucrative offers worth millions.

Who performed at the closing ceremony of the 2022 FIFA World Cup?

Argentina won the tournament, capping off a thrilling 2022 FIFA World Cup. However, before the championship game, a group of artists commandeered the football pitch for an upbeat closing ceremony at the Lusail Stadium in Qatar.

A big lure was Davido. The main attraction at the celebration on Sunday was the Nigerian superstar. And he produced a quite remarkable performance, singing his popular World Cup song, “Hayya Hayya,” while decked up in a shimmering silver outfit. A crucial part was also played by Moroccan singer Manal, which was appreciated given how well the Atlas Lions performed throughout the competition.

But he wasn’t the only well-known celebrity participating in Sunday’s spectacle. Ozuna, a Puerto Rican superstar, also performed flashy on the Lusail Stadium stage. The two-time Latin Grammy honoree led a spirited dance group while wearing matching bright yellow attire.

Overall, it was a spectacular display of song and dancing that observers are unlikely to forget. On board with Davido, Manal, Ozuna, and other artists, Congolese MC Gims rocked the audience with his distinct brand of contemporary French bars. All through the quartet’s presentation, rays of yellow, red, and orange light encircled them. Balqees, an Emirati artist, performed a similarly spectacular showcase decked in sequin attire.
