Wife makes second visit to prison to meet Dani Alves after returning from Dubai
Joana Sanz came to meet Alves who is still in prison as the rumors of their divorce intensify
Joana Sanz, the wife of former right-back Dani Alves, has visited him again in prison according to reports. The model is going through tough times after the death of her mother and the arrest of Dani Alves for allegedly raping a 23-year-old girl in Barcelona. Although the relationship between the couple is rumored to be broken, she does not want to leave the footballer alone in this situation.
Alves has been in prison for a month now after the allegations. No bail has been set, partly because he has been considered a flight risk. The latest defence strategy used by his lawyer has failed in court and he remains in jail until the verdict.
The model recently travelled to Dubai to promote the opening of the first store and clinic of a Spanish beauty firm in one of the most important and luxurious shopping centres in the capital of the United Arab Emirates and returned to meet her husband.
The player’s defence lawyer presented alternatives such as bail, withdrawal of his passport, wearing a telematic bracelet or appearing in court, but the Barcelona Court of Appeals rejected them on the grounds that they did not avoid the risk of absconding. The Brazilian will remain in prison until further developments continue

Joana Sanz believes relationship with Dani Alves is over: Neither in the game nor in love
Since Dani Alves was sent to jail for the alleged rape of a young woman in a Barcelona nightclub on December 30, rumors have sparked about his potential breakup with Spanish model Joana Sanz. Despite the fact that Sanz has claimed that she will not leave her husband alone in his most difficult moment, everything seems to indicate that their relationship is broken.
The Spanish model, who has decided to focus on her professional career, remains very active on social networks. In a recent video she posted on her Instagram stories, Sanz acknowledges that she is struggling both at bowling and her relationships. “Lucky in the game, unlucky in love”, she wrote. “Neither in the game nor in love.”
The case is yet to find its conclusion with the Brazilian’s appeal rejected due to his financial influence and risk of absconding even after multiple alternatives presented by his defence lawyer. He will remain in prison until further developments.
