After the departure of Rafa Benitez, the Everton board is actively looking into different managers for the club’s managerial role. One of the managers that the club has shown interest in is Vitor Pereira who feels his interview to be Everton manager was ‘very positive’.

Vitor said: “I’m not the manager! But I think the first decision, as a manager in the club, is to bring again the organisation, the pressing game, the intense game that I saw a few years ago.

“For me, to watch a match in Goodison Park was something that inspired me. This is the spirit. To see the passion of the supporters again, the intensity, and to make the other teams feel that Goodison is a fortress and very difficult to play there.

“That’s the way to play that I – or a manager – wants to bring into the club.”
