FC Barcelona have stepped up the swiftness in the race to land Erling Haaland next summer although Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid are also in the hunt to sign the Borussia Dortmund star.

The trio met in Monaco 11 days ago, with Laporta and Cruyff heading to the principality, where super-agent Raiola lives. In the meeting, the duo formalised FC Barcelona’s interest in the 21-year-old son of former Leeds and Manchester City star Alf-Inge Haaland.

FC Barcelona president, Joan Laporta when asked about Haaland said, “Haaland? We did a great job in the winter and I hope we do a better job in the summer as well.”

Prior to his meeting with the Nou Camp officials, Raiola and Haaland senior had themselves met, with the youngster’s dad fully involved in all discussions.

Latest reports suggest that Erling Haaland’s salary demands range between €25-30m per year and the transfer fee would be €75m.
