Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah has been one of the most, if not the most instrumental player for the Reds recent success with 148 goals for the Reds. He has played a huge part, be it in domestic competitions or European competitions.

Now, that the 29-year old Egypt National is heading towards the end of his contract, expiring in 2023, there are doubts building up among the fans on whether he will sign a new contract. In his most recent interview with GQ, he had mentioned that he has not asked for a lot, meaning that the contract negotiations have already begun.

However, there is yet to be any confirmation from either Mohamed Salah or Liverpool on Salah’s contract extension. Reports suggest that the Egyptian has demanded a salary worth more than £300,000-a-week, which will make him one of the highest-earning players in the world.

“I was fortunate enough to play with him for three or for years. He’s very humble with the right amount of confidence and arrogance.

“Keep him for another three, four years maybe and I hope they can come to an agreement.”

Besides Salah, forwards Sadio Mane and Firmino also come to the end of their contract in 2023. It needs to be seen if Liverpool is successful in holding onto their start-studded front three.
