Tottenham Hotspur won a memorable game 3-2 against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium yesterday night in the Premier league. It was one of greatest comebacks in the league’s history and was one of the best games in the Premier League this season.

Spurs started the game on the front foot and were dominating the game but a sudden break caught them off guard and Patson Daka scored the goal to make it 1-0 for Leicester City. However, just few minutes later, Harry Kane capped off a wonderful move by cutting in on his weaker foot and putting it past Kasper Schmeichel to make it 1-1.

However, in the second half, Spurs dominated the ball again but a few lapses in their play saw James Maddison score for the Foxes to make it 2-1 in the 76th minute to make it 2-1 for the home team. It looked as if the game was over when the 5 added minutes were almost up but Steven Bergwijn had different ideas as he scored 2 goals in 80 seconds to make it 3-2 for Spurs and clinch all 3 points.

This dramatic win has now taken Tottenham Hotspur back in the Premier League top 4 race and are just 1 point below 4th place West Ham United with three games in hand. However, Leicester City’s campaign has gone from bad to worst as they are in 10th place and are a long way away from the top 4 race.

Antonio Conte was full of praise for his side’s last minute comeback against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League. The Italian manager was delighted with his team’s resilience and hailed the side’s unbelievable comeback.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte said,” I think it was an amazing game. Honestly, we did not deserve to lose the game and we did not deserve to draw the game because we created too many chances and in many circumstances we were unlucky.”

The Italian manager added,” To arrive in added time losing 2-1 was honestly a great disappointment. But at the end my players showed great resilience, great desire not to give up. This must be our philosophy, do not give up and fight till the end.”

Conte also said,” They showed great desire. When we had equalised, we got the ball and wanted to start to the game to try to win it. It was good for me to see this type of attitude from my players. I think we are in a good position in the table but we know it will be very difficult to keep this position and try to fight for something important.”

“We have to try to continue to work and improve and, if there is the possibility in this transfer market to improve the numbers in the squad, it will be very important. We know very well we have to fight against every team in England. The level is very high over here,” said Conte.

Lastly, the Tottenham Hotspur boss ended by saying,” It was good to have this run of nine games unbeaten and for this reason now we are seeing us in this position in the table. On the one hand, it is good but on the other hand we have to be very honest and understand we are doing well but it will be difficult to keep this position.”
