What a night for Real Madrid and their fans! The Los Blancos have showed everyone why they’re called the kings of Europe, with an exhilarating second-half display against PSG in the second leg of the Round of 16 tie in the Champions League.

Karim Benzema scored all 3 goals as they heroically earned themselves a spot in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League. Kylian Mbappe had scored his second goal of the tie in the first half to give them a 2-0 lead which they carried into the halftime interval.

However, since the break, it was all Real Madrid. The Los Blancos pressed hard and Carlo Ancelotti got his changes spot-on as he introduced Camavinga and Rodrygo for Kroos and Asensio.

Benzema forced the first goal for Madrid, which came from an error from Gianluigi Donnarruma in goal. Vinicius Jr calmly passed it for his strike partner and it became the start of something incredible which was to come in the minutes to follow.

The Frenchman once again scored the second goal in the 76th minute, after Luka Modric burst forward from midfield to tear apart the Paris defences. Modric found Benzema on the edge of the box and his shot found the net.

There was no respite for PSG, and Real Madrid came onto them in the 78th minute, pressing them high from their kick-off after the second goal. Benzema nonchalantly combined with Vini Jr once again after Paris gave the ball away in midfield, and the French striker completed his hattrick to send the Santiago Bernabeu crowd crazy.

Real Madrid earned a 3-2 victory over the two legs.
