2021 Brazilian GP: McLaren Vow to “Strike Back” Against Ferrari in Constructors Championship

Ferrari and McLaren
As the 2021 Formula 1 season comes to an end, the next race on the list is the Brazilian GP at São Paulo. The drivers championship between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen is turning out to be one of the greatest of all times. The constructors championship too, is getting heated, as Red Bull is just one point behind Mercedes now.
However, the most exciting is the long Ferrari vs McLaren rivalry, as both teams fight for P3 in the constructors. Ferrari are currently 13 points ahead of McLaren after the latter had a disastrous run at the Mexico Grand Prix. McLaren boss Andreas Seidl says that it is now time to strike back and find a way to reclaim their position.
“Ferrari has definitely got momentum on their side” going into the Brazilian GP

Ferrari had another good run in the qualifying for the sprint race at the Brazilian GP, finishing sixth and seventh respectively, while the McLarens finished eighth and ninth, which will make for an interesting start. “Ferrari has definitely got momentum on their side at the moment and it is about time to strike back on our side,” said Seidl to gpfans.
“It is not a surprise that a team like Ferrari, after the unique season they had last year [when it finished sixth, its worst position for 40 years], is coming back strong.” Seidl said that is was expected from the team, considering the infrastructure and the drivers that they have.
