Christian Horner insists Red Bull ‘care’ about Max Verstappen winning world title in the right way

With Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton being on the same number of points entering the season finale in Abu Dhabi, the former edges over the Brit due to a 9-8-win ratio. And if both of them are not able to score points, it is the Dutchman who will secure his first ever Formula 1 World Championship. However, Christian Horner reveals that the team cares about their ace driver winning the world championship by all the right means.
To those who are not aware, Max Verstappen’s racing conduct has come under fire with two robust defenses of the lead in Brazil and Saudi Arabia in particular causing concerns about the 2021 Formula 1 world title being decided in a highly controversial manner.

Asked upon the same, Christian Horner stated as per GPFans, “It’s been a tough fight all the way through the year, there has been some fantastic racing between these two drivers and I hope it’s a fair and clean race in Abu Dhabi.”
On whether there will be an escalation of tensions at the final race, the Red Bull team boss stated, “It’s winner take all. Whoever finishes ahead is world champion. Let’s see, we’ve got one shot at it. We’ve got to try and beat Lewis one more time this year.
“The performance is with him at the moment, they’ve won three races on the bounce, and they’re going to be very competitive in Abu Dhabi with the new layout. We expected them here to have a big advantage on us and we’ve fought hard, we’ve attacked the grand prix and Max was outstanding all weekend.”
