This could potentially be the breakthrough season for McLaren and both the drivers who have showed signs of talent, artistry and determination but haven’t been at all consistent with their performances which is the need of the hour.

Another factor which would invigorate the team’s chances is the chemistry that both of them share off the track. We have heard about bad blood between the drivers of the same team but that definitely seem to be the case over as the duo gets along really well.

Norris said: “Last year was my best in Formula 1 so far, and I’m really proud of what I achieved as a driver, and what we achieved as a team. But I know that the best is yet to come, and my aim is to carry the positive momentum we built up over the last year and take that with me into this exciting new era of Formula 1.” As reported by formula 1.

The team has been competitive but the gap between the top 2 of Mercedes and Red Bull has been considerable as they have consistently setting the pace at the top of the grid.

But we also need to make realistic examination into what could be a great season for the team and also the drivers.

We need to understand that it’ll be highly unrealistic for McLaren to win the championship after just one season of significant progress as Mercedes and Red Bull have been at it too. If McLaren gets tight the pace setters, it shall be a great season for them.

As far as Norris and Riccardo are concerned, if Norris becomes consistent with his performances and gets the better off his teammate again, it’ll be a great season for him. Talking about Riccardo, he needs to be the number 1 driver for McLaren no matter how. McLaren is a bigger mystery than Ferrari and Norris is the inconstant.
