“I don’t know if the W13 is legal, but it’s quite ugly,” Max Verstappen takes a humorous dig at the new design of Mercedes’ challenger

“I don’t know if the W13 is legal, but it’s quite ugly,” Max Verstappen takes a humorous dig at the new design of Mercedes’ challenger

Current reigning world champion Max Verstappen

Max Verstappen should be called the ‘king of banter‘, as he comes out on trump with his impeccable sense of humor and takes away some of the limelight away from Mercedes and their challenger W-13. Mercedes turned heads in the first session Bahrain as they came out with their new challenger W-13 in which the difference after Barcelona testing was clear as day and night.

Mercedes surprised everyone with their car which had no ‘sidepods‘ and it’s reported that it’s set to to give that extra edge to Lewis Hamilton in his quest for his eight world championship which was taken away by Max Verstappen. Max Verstappen doesn’t miss a chance to take a dig at Mercedes. We all know the serious side of the current world champion but his banter is also up there with the best around.

We have all been made familiar with that aspect when Max Verstappen partnered with Daniel Ricciardo for Red Bull. The duo gave us moments to jostle the mind and the funny bone. While the world is in awe of the new design of W-13, Max Verstappen doesn’t care one bit as he didn’t think it concerns him as he continues to pay attention on his progress in his surge to defend his maiden title.

Max Verstappen is a fiesty figure who doesn’t take any nonsense and definitely knows how to give it back. The current F1 champion rules the throne for giving honest interviews.

In his recent interview when asked about the design of W-13, Max Vertsappen said, “I don’t know if the W13 is legal – but it’s quite ugly, isn’t it?”

“It doesn’t look good, even the colour!”

F1 managing director said, “There is no doubt that the Mercedes concept is something we didn’t anticipate.”

“It’s a very extreme interpretation of the regulations and inevitably there is going to be a lot of debate.” As reported by planetf1.

Max Verstappen is fully focused on defending his maiden title and doesn’t seem to be affected by the noise that has been created around the designs that have been submitted by Mercedes.
