Last year Dutch driver Max Verstappen announced his separation from former girlfriend Dilara Sanlik. He announced his relationship with girlfriend Kelly Piquet, who used to date former Formula 1 driver Danii Kyvat. Piquet is a Brazilian model and was born in Germany.

She is the daughter of F1 legend Nelson Piquet and Sylvia Tamsma. Kelly spent most of her childhood living in France, before shifting to Brazil and then England. In April 2015 Piquet also became responsible for handling Formula E’s social media coverage. Currently 33 years old, she is dating the 24-year-old Verstappen.

Soon after they split, Verstappen and Piquet started seeing each other in late 2020, and are rumored to have been dating since then. They both soon announced their relationship on Instagram along with a new year’s picture.

Max Verstappen’s role as Penelope’s stepfather

While dating Danii Kyvat, they both had a daughter in July of 2019. Kyvat was a racing driver for Toro Rosso as well as a reserve driver for AlphaTauri. But they are now doing co-parenting after separation.

Verstappen also regularly plays the role of a stepdad, posting pictures of Piquet’s daughter, Penelope. Piquet is currently a model for companies like Vogue and Bergdorf Goodman and has also done catwalk shows. Kelly is fluent in multiple languages, including French, Portuguese and English. She loves travelling and experiencing new cultures as well as meeting new people.

She also recently paid a birthday tribute to her boyfriend saying:

Happy Birthday to the love of my life. I love everything about you, about us and I am beyond proud of you. I can’t wait for all that is to come.
