Formula 1 has seen a big increase in popularity over the last 2 years. It has gone from being a relatively small sport to one of the biggest in the world. As the season comes to an end, the rivalry between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton is taking an exciting turn and the anticipation is increasing.

Formula 1 Drive to Survive has been a big part of helping the sport gain popularity, as it took off and blew up on Netflix in 2018. Previous racing series, including Rush, have also hit it off quite well on the big screen.

Lewis Hamilton a Part of “Bidding War” for Racing Project

Lewis Hamilton, a big fan of Top Gun, was offered a role in 2019 to act in the sequel of the movie. Unfortunately the role did not come through since Hamilton was busy working. Now, he may have a second chance to make his movie debut, as he is rumoured to be working on a secret project.

Reportedly according to essentiallysports, a bidding war including some big names erupted on Sunday, including companies like Paramount and Universal as well as Netflix and Amazon Prime. A movie starring Brad Pitt and directed by Joseph Kosinski is said to be in the works.

Seven time world Champion Lewis Hamilton is also a part of this project, although his role or part in the movie is still quite unknown. It seems that the Mercedes driver may have been called to help around with some work related to Motorsports, especially because of his experience. It was also speculated that he could have a role in the film, but that information is still unconfirmed.
